Access to records
Requesting Your Information
You have a right to request copies of your medical records. This is known as a ‘subject access request’. We will provide you with copies of your records, with any information which you do not have a right of access to removed (redacted).
This will be done in line with the exemptions to subject access which are set out in the Data Protection Act 2018. You can find out what these are in our Subject Rights Request Policy.
The records of a deceased person can also be accessed and these are processed in the same way. These requests are governed by the Access to Health Records Act 1990.
