This workshop is for parents and carers
Children learn speech, language and communication skills doing everyday activities. They will be learning at home and at school. Some children can have difficulties saying words.
It can be concerning when your child is struggling to say certain words or sounds correctly. There are a variety of reasons why your child may not be able to pronounce the words or sounds correctly.
Aim of this workshop
- Gain an understanding of speech sound development
- Know techniques and games to help support speech sound development
- Build your confidence in supporting your child with their speech sounds
Entry criteria
This workshop is for families living in Bedfordshire and Luton. This will benefit parents with children who:
- are under 7 years old
- have difficulties making themselves understood
- can talk in sentences but other people may not be able to understand them
- swap sounds with other sounds or avoid using certain sounds
- will join you in an activity for a short time
