Makaton is a way for you and your child to communicate. It is designed to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties. Makaton uses signs, gestures and pictures with speech, in spoken word order. Using the Makaton signs whilst speaking will help your child understand what you are saying and can help your child communicate with you. We currently offer accredited training for Level 1 and Level 2 Makaton training.

Please be aware, Makaton is different to British Sign Language (BSL).
